The crescent moon for the month of Zul Hijjah 1447H has been sighted and verified in New York, Suriname, and Toronto, Canada. Therefore, Monday, May 18, 2026 will be the 1st of Dhul Hijjah 1447H. Day of Arafah: Tuesday, May 26, 2026 Eid ul-Adha: Wednesday, May 27, 2026, In Shaa Allah We pray that Allah Ta’ala blesses and protects the Muslim Ummah during this blessed month. Ameen. About Us
Al-Noor Society of Greater Houston
Al-Noor Society was established in 1987 in Houston, Texas out of the need for a Islamic Center where the Ahle-Sunnah wal-Jama'at community could maintain their identity in America, commemorate Islamic historic events, and pass on true Islamic beliefs and traditions to our next generations.
Alhamdulillah in the middle of 1992, the Society secured a property within the vicinity to fulfill these needs. The current physical location is 6443 Prestwood Dr., Houston, Texas, which is centrally located and minutes from downtown Houston. The facility is about two blocks from the major freeway U.S. 59/I 69 @ Hillcroft.
